I know because I have been there. For the first six years of running my coaching business, I struggled. I tried to do it by myself, due to fear of not having enough resources to invest in business building programs. I had already spent thousands on my coach training and I thought I could figure out the business part by myself.
The truth is that I did figure out a lot of things on my own. I had some success, but I just couldn’t quite push through that 50K revenue mark and get my business to a place where it was thriving and I wasn’t working so hard - like 24/7. Do you know what I mean? I got to a place where I couldn’t grow my business any further and so it stalled out. For two years, nothing changed. My email list stayed the same, my income level stayed the same - I was literally stuck. I tried everything I knew. It was time for a change.
It was time to believe in myself enough to invest in myself as a business owner.
I joined a business mastermind and things started changing. I learned how to put systems and processes in place so I wasn’t working so hard. I built a structure and a financial engine around my coaching practice that now runs like a well-oiled machine. My email list quadrupled and my income more than doubled that first year. All of this enabled me to have a much deeper impact in the lives of my clients. Let’s be honest, that’s why we are all in this business, isn’t it? Sure, we want to have a great income and to be able to have a business that supports our dream lifestyle. But more than that, our hearts burn to make a difference, to help others transform their lives. If there’s one thing I’ve learned through this experience it’s that I can’t make that deep, lasting impact in others’ lives if I am worried about making ends meet or where I’m going to find that next client.
